MySpace
I'm not sure why I'm leary of MySpace, I just seem to hear more negative than good about it. I'm quite happy here at Blogger, making my blog and reading my friends blogspots.
Oh well, I'm there, and I've tried to make my account as "private" as possible. We'll see how it goes. Luckily, the "Delete Account" option is prominient in the Settings section.
Does anyone have anything positive / encouraging to offer about MySpace?

Crossroads Trips
Since I sent her the book earlier this year, my Aunt has made at least four of these quilts, including this one that she surprised me with on my visit last October.Since I like this quilt so much, I've been cutting down my scraps into squares and "corner pieces". While working on other projects, I've been sewing my 1 1/2" scraps as leader/enders. Look at all the “corner pieces” you can cut out of odd shapes of scraps:
I've made quite a few of the Four-Patch Units and now I wanting to start sewing some of the Bright Corner Square units, so, I need to decide on a background. That's one thing that seems to help this scrap quilt a lot... a consistent background. I was going to try a muslin or white,
but saw these other two and liked them.

It's All About Jack
Two nights ago I ask Jack to help me in the kitchen. We were making fudge (from a kit in a box)...
SOOOOOOO simple for him to help with, and delicious too...
If you had any questions about why Jack likes to help in the kitchen... rest assured, they are ALL ABOUT licking things at then end (actually, he licks in the middle too if I'm not watching him like a hawk!)
Now then. On to another subject. Cars. My boys love Disney's CARS. Jack also happens to love to move to the music. The following picture is fuzzy, I know, but, give me a break! I was taking it:
- over my shoulder,
- on ice covered roads,
- in a moving vehicle,
- while Jack was rocking and rolling.
Well. Here, let me just show you...
Can you see his hair flying? Can you see the hands moving? Don't EVEN get me started on what it's like to be sitting in front of him when his feet start moving!
Oh yeah, I forgot to finish telling you WHY he's doing this... Cars. Remember Disney's Cars? That's why. The soundtrack. We bought two copies of it! One for each vehicle... that's how MUCH my boys LOVE listening to the Disney CARS Soundtrack. So. My hubby and I also enjoy it (which is a good thing, because we've heard it A LOT since this summer).
So. If you're kids like Cars, buy the soundtrack. If they like music, buy the soundtrack. If you want "driving music", but the soundtrack. Well. You get the idea. Everyone should have a Disney's Cars Soundtrack in their vehicle... at least if you ask my family. Of course, if you ask them, your as likely to get a "Roar-rev-grr" sound (ala Lightening McQueen) as you are any real words. I can't even describe the sound... well, yeah I can, they sound JUST LIKE Lightening revving his engine!
Now, back to the adorable pictures of He-who-will-always-be "My Baby"...
We went with my hubby today to explore Pinedale, Wyoming (population 1617 - no, that's not a year, that's as in "they have LESS THAN 2000 people living there!) Jack was having so much fun exploring the boardwalk and snow outside the Visitor's Center. He's a mis-mash of Winter Gear, but he's warm and he loves to be outside. Is he ready to go outside? Let's see:
- Spiderman boots. CHECK!
- TY Piggy (the pink thing sticking out of his jacket). CHECK!
- Old Navy, Fleece Leporad Hat. CHECK!
- Coat. CHECK!
- Mittens on a string. CHECK!
Yep! He's all ready and raring to go... actually, as long as he has shoes on his feet (if you ask him, socks are optional) he's always ready, getting a coat or hat on is usually near to impossible (thus the Poncho). But today, we saw -20F, yes that was NEGATIVE TWENTY FARENHEIT, at about ten in the morning... so, a coat wasn't an option, even though by the time we got out of the van it was UP TO 9F!
Anyway. Enough about Jack, I need some sleep.
Ta-ta,
Suzy :DGIGANTIC TV's

I'm in the market for a new TV, but I have a few questions about something as BIG as this Panasonic 150" plasma screen:
- who delivers it?
- how do you fit it in your door?
- how would you actually view it?... I mean, you'd have to be like 20 feet away from it!
- What would you put it on?
- HOW MUCH!?!
- Kids. Objects. Large glass electronic fragile item... OUCH!
Anyway, thought you'd like to see it too. I mean, WOW!

Frozen
Yesterday I went outside about 30 minutes after my shower. I walked across a small lawn (perhaps 40 feet) three times. The third time, I reached up and pushed my hair behind my ear... to discover that my hair was FROZEN! Agh!
Now that I think about it, it reminds me of the sceen from "The Great Race" when Max breaks off a piece of Professor Fate's mustache. I always laughed at that. :D
It was probably around 15F yesterday when this happened.
Guess I may actually have to start blow drying my hair - that or taking my showers earlier in my morning routine.

Time of Peace
Yesterday I found myself breathing a huge sigh of relief and feeling glad "that's all over". It really hasn't felt like I've stopped going since last April. Yesterday and today though, I felt at ease and relaxed.
I feel like I'm really settling into my new life here in Wyoming. I know what I'm doing, and where I'm doing it. I also am enjoying my boys lots more these days. Being calmer with them. It all feels good.
